Meet The Founder

Tymeka Coney is the CEO and founder of Meek Entertainment & PR, an Indie Entertainment & PR company. Tymeka has been producing live events and has featured several celebrity guests like: Willie Norwood –Father of Famed Singers Brandy & Ray J, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Actress Meagan Good, Actress Imani Hakim.

Tymeka has coordinated TV/ Film/Stage Productions over a span of 15 years, and been doing live events since 2008. She received a certificate of recognition from Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa for her outstanding work in the community for creating an event for the 2012 Election year.

In 2014, she assisted Director/Writer Gina Prince Bythewood & her husband Producer Reggie Rock Bythewood with a grassroots PR campaign to further promote their box office film Produced by BET & Distributed by Relativity Media “Beyond The Lights.” Tymeka also worked for BET Awards, Merge Summit and African Goodwill Awards and was the Film Festival Assistant to the Founder of Pan African Film Festival – Ayuko Babu from 2016-2018 and also worked for the Hollywood Black Film Festival, One Lens Film Festival & ScriptFest before launching her own Mind Film Festival in 2019.  She also appeared on MTV’s reality television game show “Yo Momma” with host Wilmer Valderama and GSN show Lingo w/ Chuck Woolery and worked with Talent/ Media & PR at the BET Awards for several years. Coney is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Psychology and Dramatic Writing & K. D. Actor’s Conservatory with an A.A. in Theatre Arts, Script Analysis & Film Production. Tymeka is also a published Author of 4 Books on Amazon.com and an Amazon Best Selling Author. She has 3 Children’s Books- “I Don’t Like Racism,” “I Don’t Like COVID-19,” and “I Don’t Like Bullies,” & a Poetry Book, “Words Unspoken: Volume I-Deeper Than Eyes Can See,” and she has a Spoken Word CD on Itunes.com, Spotify & Amazon-“Life, Love & The Pursuit of Dreams.” She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
